Excavation and ground disturbance activities can pose serious risks, including utility strikes and structural collapses. The Ground Disturbance Awareness Training program educates workers on proper procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with Canada’s utility and excavation regulations.

Topics covered include:

  • Safe excavation practices and soil assessment
  • Regulations under Alberta OHS, WorkSafeBC, and Ontario’s Ministry of Labour
  • Emergency response procedures in case of an incident

This training is recommended for construction workers, landscapers, pipeline employees, and anyone involved in excavation projects.

    Some Employees face a significant health risk as a result of occupational exposure to excavation hazards.  Ground Disturbance is defined for the purpose of this course as any activity that results is disturbance of the earth regardless of depth.
