This comprehensive two-day course offers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home, including injury prevention, CPR and AED. Upon successful completion, candidates will be issued a Red Cross certificate.

• How to respond to emergencies
• The EMS system
• The key principles in first aid
• How to deal with airway emergencies, breathing and circulation emergencies
• First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest, head and spine injuries, bone, muscle and joint injuries
• Wound care – minor and major
• Poisons
• How to deal with sudden medical conditions and environmental emergencies
